Summertime is almost upon us, and you have not reached your body goals yet. We get it; the pandemic has affected us all differently. Some of us lost a lot of weight, and some gained some. If you’re the latter and you want to get in shape just in time for summer, there’s still time. Three months is a whole lot of days to get that body right, but you got this. Here are five easy tips for building and maintaining the summer body you want.
5 Tips to Get Your Body Right for Summer
Eat Right
Do you eat a lot of fruits and vegetables? Do you eat some fruits and vegetables? Try including a healthy portion of delicious fruits and veggies in your diet, and you’ll be surprised how the next three months will play out. You should also focus on eating the appropriate amount of protein and good carbohydrates. Good carbohydrates include brown rice, whole wheat, quinoa, rye, and barley. Bad carbohydrates are the main components in white bread and processed foods, such as French fries and sodas.
Try to stay away from overloaded fast foods and drinking too much. If you’re like us and you’ve got to have your dessert after a meal, fruit salads make great desserts as a substitute for brownies and ice cream.
Hydrate
It’s simple; your body needs water… as much as it can get. Water also promotes weight loss. Keeping the body hydrated helps the heart pump blood through the blood vessels more efficiently to the muscles. In turn, your muscles work more efficiently. To put it simply, without enough water, your heart health is going to suffer. When that happens, your body will suffer as well. If you’re always on the go and rarely have time to pour yourself a glass of water, try getting water bottles and train yourself to finish one every time you open it. You can thank us later.
Keep Working Out
Humans aren’t designed to be stationary, so try to get as many workouts in as you can. There are so many ways you can exercise effectively. Walking, running, hiking are all simple exercises you can add to your daily routine. Unless you have specific health restrictions, there is a workout out there for you. Plus, exercising doesn’t have to be intense cardio or crazy bodyweight training. You’re not training for the Olympics. Get out there and treat your body well.
Include a Superfood Blend to Your Diet
Superfood supplements have become widely popular these past few years. These refreshing blends of micro-nutrients support the removal of unhealthy toxins, boost energy, and help you feel your best every day (with sustained use). Finding the right foods to get the nutrients your body needs can be pricey. Luckily, superfood supplements do all the leg work for you by including vital essential nutrients and delicious fruits for your tasting pleasure.
Get Some Rest
People have lost their connection to deep restorative sleep. The type of sleep that readies you for the next day. Get some sleep, will you? Try not to stay up late all the time. Set early bed days (not on weekends), get rid of distractions in your bedroom, turn on the Night Shift Mode on your phone. Your body will thank you.
