1. Exercise More Often

As for anxiety, many studies have linked improvements in anxiety symptoms with increased physical exercise, especially mindful activities, such as yoga, tai chi, and qigong.
When we exercise, our bodies release chemicals that can help boost mood. Regular exercise has been proven to:
- Reduce stress
- Ward off anxiety and feelings of depression
- Boost self-esteem
- Improve sleep
2. Improve Your Diet
One of the side effects of overworking is poor diet. We get that there’s just no time to eat a healthy diet. Well, it’s your health, make time! Fill your next plate with clean, whole foods; drink lots of water; get enough calcium; and keep trans-fat intake low.
Furthermore, cut the sweetened beverages from your diet. A recent study discovered that someone who drinks four or more cups or cans of soda a day is 30% more likely to be depressed than someone who did not drink soda.
3. Get Enough Sleep
Inadequate sleep has a strong influence on mood because the neurotransmitters required to support mood are resupplied with sleep. That said, we need enough restorative sleep to sustain a well-balanced brain and help relieve symptoms of depression and anxiety. People who don’t get enough sleep each night are more likely to suffer from depression than those who sleep through the night every night.
Studies show that sleep-deprived people tend to classify neutral images as “negative,” even everyday items can seem more threatening and add to that anxiety. That said, make getting the deep, quality sleep you need a priority.
